Recently we built a new vSphere 5.1 environment and have installed vShield endpoint Manager 5.1.2-943471.
Installed endpoint onto the Hosts and installed the Kapersky Security Appliances to each of the Hosts. I have started to migrate virtuals from our existing 4.1 environment over to the new environment.
Have upgraded the vmware tools on the VM's as part of the process and removed the existing anti-virus checker. The vSheild Endpoint manager reports that the thin driver is installed on all but a couple of virtuals that are not being reported by the vShield manager as having the thin agent. They are listed in the left hand column but when you look at the endpoint events they are not listed as the others are ? Before I start to migrate everything over I need to be certain that all virtuals at least are being protected.
I checked each guest to make sure the driver was installed and running using msinfo32 and looking for the vfilefilter driver this checked out okay also I can confirm that the virtuals are running supported SCSI adapters . Any thing else to check for ?
Just an update to this tried a few other servers and they are also demonstrating they same issue. Have uninstalled and reinstalled vmware tools with the vshield driver installed but still cannot see the virtual server.

Jason.
