vShield Manager release 5.5.2 - Build - 1740418. Brand new install and after connecting to the lookup service and to the vCenter Server added the DNS and NTP entries. I've rebooted the box numerous times. and Everytime I go to Generate a CSR to sign it with my CA I "Key pair generation failed" I mean this is just creating the CSR. when I log into the console of the manager and I do a show manager log I get a Java Exception Error: Incorrect AVA format which when I looke that up It turns out to mean the the distinguished name is in the wrong format. That being said it lists it within the show manager log and the -dname is set to "cn=FQDN". So it looks as though it should be correct. The host name is of the format:
AAA-A-A-001. so I guess my question is are the dashes really throwing this off. This should be too simple but it is not working straight out of the box. And by the way. the host name is verified and is able to resolve.
