did you ever pull the plug of one of your servers? I guess not, and I am sure you have your reasons for that. This is exactly what happens when your UPS runs out of energy during a long lasting blackout.
We thought about this, identified it as a major security issue and started looking for existing solutions. Most were workarounds, scripts or extremly expensive solutions.
We wanted a solution without scripting, without workarounds, fast to use (for time is money), without agents and usable with any UPS that can be identified as battery by windows (even those without a network card).
So we created OPMONis, a software that can deliver exactly this and we are already using this software for all our clients. To make it more useable we added a more user friendly GUI and invite now everybody to test out, what we created.
At the moment it is working only for payed VmWare versions, but probably by Mai 11th a free HyperV supporting Beta will also be available here: www.opmonis.de/en/downloads
